Common is back for Classic LWest Jewelry.

Common is back as a client for LWest classic jewelry.

Common requested a pair of leather cuffs for
a particular secret event on June 10, 2010.
I kept the cuff design simple to match his clean cut style.

This is Common back in 2000 in XXL Magazine
wearing an original classic LWest leather cuff.
I designed many leather and metal cuff bracelets
for him during the Like Water for Chocolate Tour.

Stay tuned for more new designs to come
with LWest/TashaWest x Common.

New work...Custom Fawohodie Cuff Bracelets for Erykah Badu Tour Pt 1.

Erykah Badu is on Tour for Summer 2010.
I made a new pair of brass cuffs for her and she wore
them at her Roseland Ballroom show on June 7, 2010.
The show was phenomenal. She just gets better with time!
Check out the images below documenting the evening.

After the show in her dressing room, about to put her new
Lorraine Natasha West/Tasha West cuff bracelets back on.

The cuff bracelets are inspired by an abstracted version of the
Adinkra Symbol, FAWOHODIE meaning independence, freedom and emancipation.

Badu tries on my Star and Moon Cuff, I'm making her a pair a little longer.

Me, Badu and Ashaka.
A pleasure to design with, for and share sisterhood with.

Stay tuned in 2 weeks for the complete tour jewelry collection Im designing for Badu.

Custom Adinkra Cuff Bracelet for Antoinette.

I have an amazing new client by the name of Antoinette Rodriguez.
She is a rock star and radiates beauty from the inside out.
I made the custom cuff below for her in copper.
Tt's inspired by the West African Adinkra Symbol,
ESE NE TEKREMA - Meaning "the teeth and the tongue,"
representing friendship and interdependence.
Symbols are wonderful reminders of how to keep our lives in balance.
